Reclaim Water Will Be Shut Down Daily - 10:00am (or when reclaimed water supply is depleted) to 4:00pm

05.13.2024 UPDATE

The amount of reclaimed water consumed each night has become exceeding high, causing the reclaimed water supply to be depleted prior to the scheduled 10:00am shut down time.  We will continue to utilize the shut down schedule, 10:00am-4:00pm, unless the reclaimed water supply is depleted prior to the 10:00am shut down time, if depleted then the reclaimed water supply will be shut down at time of depletion.

Please know the Wastewater Plant Operators are working twenty-four hours a day making sure to supply the reclaimed water.

05.08.2024 UPDATE

05.07.2024 UPDATE

The amount of reclaimed water consumed overnight through 7:30am this morning exceeded the amount produced, causing the storage tank to run empty slightly ahead of the scheduled 10am daily outage. The reclaimed distribution system will remain offline until 4pm today.

Due to the ongoing dry conditions and in order to conserve irrigation water availability for all customers, beginning Thursday, May 2, 2024 Staff will deactivate the Reclaimed Water Distribution pumps between the hours of 10am to 4pm each day. This protocol will continue until routine rainfall has returned.

Daytime usage of reclaimed water had been much higher than normal and was depleting the supply from our tanks during the day before the majority of users had an opportunity to use the resource in the evening and overnight hours. The City augments the supply of reclaimed water with surface water withdrawn from the borrow pit adjacent to the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The level of the borrow pit has dropped very low, and is close to the level which will require us to suspend augmenting.
