Planning & Zoning Board
Overview
The Planning and Zoning Board shall make recommendations to City Council for amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code; monitor the effectiveness of the Comprehensive Plan by formal periodic evaluation process, make recommendations to City Council regarding applications for subdivisions and plats; Development and Zoning Agreements; annexations; rezonings; site plans over 25,000 square feet of building area; text amendments; Mining Agreements; abandonments/vacations and land use amendments. The Board shall have final authority to approve, modify and/or deny Conditional Use Permits and Variance applications.
The Board consists of seven members, with three-year terms. To be eligible for appointment, a prospective member shall be a resident of the City. Members may not serve on other City Boards or Committees. Requires filing of Annual Financial Form (Form 1).
