RFP 19-DS-009 - Arborist Services for the City of Edgewater

The City of Edgewater is looking for someone who is a professional in the practice of arboriculture. This individual will work with the Development Services Department and other city departments in the review of and application of all related adopted rules or standards including, but not limited to tree removal application review, development plan review, code compliance assessment, expert testimony, training and presence at committee meetings or city council meetings. Position will be on an "as needed" basis. Individual must be able to recognize and evaluate tree conditions and recommend diagnosis when removals are requested. Individual will maintain best practice standards for urban tree management in general, including boundary issues such as ownership, nuisance problems, impact of roots crossing boundaries, public safety, disease or insect and safety of nearby trees. Must be International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified.
