2019 Christmas Parade

To enter the parade, fill out & submit the application at the bottom by DECEMBER 10, 2019.

1. PARADE LINE UP: Line up in order of arrival, inside the gates at 1898 Air Park Road. Participants with long trailers may enter the parade at the Air Park/Indian River Blvd. light. Be in position by 9:30 a.m.
2. PARADE ROUTE: The parade starts on Air Park Road going north, proceeds east on Indian River Blvd. and ends at Banyan Drive.
3. CATEGORIES TO BE JUDGED: Most Original, Adult Service Award, Youth Service Award, Most Related to Theme and Grand Champion. Floats will be judged on appearance, originality and theme.
4. PARADE JUDGING NUMBER: Display judging number on front, right of vehicle or float. Horse entries display number on the right side of horse.
5. PARADE VEHICLES: All parade vehicles and vehicles pulling floats should be clean and are required to be decorated. There is a height restriction of 13 feet for floats for clearance under the traffic signals.
6. HORSES ENTRIES: MUST HAVE COGGINS PAPERS. Horses may not be unloaded without them!
7. There is only ONE SANTA in the parade. You may not have anyone dressed in a Santa suit or have any other kind of Santa.
8. PARADE DISTRIBUTION: Please do not distribute flyers or coupons. Paper usually ends up on the ground. CANDY: If you provide candy, it is recommended that people walk with your float to hand candy to attendees rather than throwing it in the road. Drivers, please watch for children picking up candy!
9. STOPPING TO PERFORM: There is no stopping to perform unless the entire parade stops.
10. PARADE EXIT AND UNLOADING: Entrants without riders can exit the parade route by continuing to US1. Entrants with riders can pull into the right lanes of Indian River Blvd., which will be coned off east of Banyan Drive, and unload at the sidewalk.
11. PARADE AWARDS will be presented at the January City Council Meeting.
