
The Edgewater Economic Development Board, assisted by the Department of Community Development, consists of nine voluntary members, appointed by the city council. The EDB's mission and purpose is to identify and recommend to the city council implementation strategies to help create new jobs, expand the tax base, diversify the economy, and enhance the quality of life in Edgewater. The board's goals are to retain and expand local businesses, assist in creating new business start-up opportunities, market the economic benefits of the community, and recruit new businesses.
